I started as a Sandwich Artist® in Long Beach, CA. I first worked both opening and closing shifts, then quickly got promoted to Manager. After a few years as a successful Manager at SUBWAY® in Carson, CA, I moved with the growing company to San Diego, first as a Business Consultant then as a District Manager. By 2010, I had purchased my first store and became a franchisee as well. I quickly progressed as a Regional Manager, then VP of Operations and I now overlook the Greater Houston territory in Texas as a SUBWAY® Development Agent.
I was looking for my very first job and applied at Subway, luckily they called me back and after I got through all the interviews they told me I got the job!
All the people you get to meet, both the coworkers and customers. Every day is different with new people and new experiences there's never a boring day at Subway.
My memorable moment would be having to make a sandwich for my High school principal. He likes tuna by the way.
I would recommend being a sandwich artist to anyone because you learn how to work together with other people, whether it be with the customers or your coworkers.
It isn't all fun and games though. It really helps to teach a sense of responsibility and time management. I want to thank every single person I've worked with and for everything that they have taught me. I couldn't have gotten this far without you, and for that I appreciate every single one of you :). Stay Fresh guys!
My friend wanted a soda from SUBWAY®, and I randomly asked if they were hiring. It turns out the hiring manager was there sitting along side one of the tables and gave me further information for an interview.
I love seeing the smiles of customers as i make their sandwich! I enjoy making the ideal SUBWAY® sandwich and receiving live feedback of my work from customers.
I remember making a sandwich for a homeless guy who ended up sharing with a friend of his. It changed my perspective of sharing. It was truely inspiring.
You get to know your customers. Not every sandwich is the same, every one is different.SUBWAY® has a fun social environment for coworkers. We get to bond and know each other pretty well while we get our work done.
SUBWAY® allowed me to have my first job. I don't regret doing it at all. I enjoy my job and look forward to seeing new smiles each day I work!.

I started at subway when the manager at my local Subway offered me the opportunity to work with them. The manager was very nice and understanding given that I didn't have any work experience. The thought of being given a chance right away after graduating high school meant a lot. Subway has helped me out a lot by helping me to be able to go to college and work at the same time.
I enjoy seeing customers happy and working with such reliable coworkers. Meeting new people everyday and just hearing different stories and where people came from just motivates me to go to work. There's always something new and genuine people to meet. Working at Subway gave me the confidence to speak to people out of my comfort zone inside and outside of work.
One memorable experience would probably be when we had a storm and the whole building lost power. Probably one of the scariest times because of how dark the whole plaza got.
I recommend becoming a sandwich artist at Subway because of all the great people you'll meet on the way. Opportunities and hard working coworkers. You learn how to be more confident and overall grow as a person. I learned a lot of time managing skills and staying ahead of myself not just at work but also at school and life.
